Idora (Idy) J. Marcus

Idy Marcus, founder of Equimark RESOLVE. has been described as, “dynamic, dedicated, and discreet”.  Throughout her professional career Ms. Marcus has developed a reputation by providing original solutions to often-difficult situations. Her approachable personality gives her the unique ability to make people on all levels feel comfortable in any situation.

Idy Marcus’ vast expertise lies in a variety of areas:  strategic planning, team building, action positioning, diversity training, access intervention, and revitalization plans for under productive areas.  Idy's contacts are diverse and far-reaching on a local, national and international level, including but not limited to the diplomatic, defense, entertainment, hospitality, government and technology arenas.

Ms. Marcus has a proven track record of business development, relationship building and community outreach as was exhibited during the 1999 NATO Summit.  In addition, her work in the motion picture industry produced the necessary outcome required to resolve their access issues.  Some of the films and television shows Idy has worked on include: Clear and Present Danger; Patriot Games; Magnum PI; and Tuskegee Airmen.  Several others are mentioned above in the tabs entitled "Motion Picture Projects" and "Television Projects".

Idy moves easily among major corporations and foundations.  For example, she raised $2 million from a major petroleum company, and an additional $1 million from an internationally known corporate titan and tycoon for a new military history and educational center. 

Ms. Marcus has acted as a primary spokesperson and has coordinated educational, promotional and marketing programs, many of which were under severe budget constraints.  She orchestrated publicity for a speakers' series at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts featuring world leaders and well-known celebrities.  As a direct result of her ability to communicate with the press Idy received extensive national and international media coverage. 

Ms. Marcus has devoted thousands of hours on boards and committees utilizing her strategic planning and positioning expertise to heighten visibility and establish new sources of income to organizations including The Washington Performing Arts Society, Reach for Tomorrow, The Salvation Army to name just a few.
